A Twentynine Palms woman was flown to a burn hospital with second-degree burns Wednesday morning. According to Fire Captain Robert Marquez, the unidentified 81-year-old woman, who lives in the 6000 block of Morongo Road, spilled hot liquid on both her forearms about 10:15 this morning. The woman was flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center via Mercy Air, as the travel time to hospitals outside the Morongo Basin is significantly reduced.
