An 8-year-old student at Twentynine Palms Elementary School brought a training grenade to school Friday. According to a Sheriff’s report, the training grenade was not an active explosive device, but the Sheriff’s arson and bomb squad was contacted, and the grenade was handed over to the explosive ordinance disposal unit from the Twentynine Palms Marine Base.
