It’s that time of year again. The 77th annual Weed Show in Twentynine Palms is scheduled for this coming weekend. Reporter Heather Clisby has details…
Much like death and taxes, weeds are inevitable. Thankfully, we have a fine desert tradition to celebrate these scrappy native plants. This weekend, the Twentynine Palms Historical Society is hosting their 77th Annual Weed Show to present creations made by visionary locals. Awards in various categories are given to the arrangements and the visiting public can cast their votes for the coveted People’s Choice Award. The Weed Show takes place at the Old Schoolhouse Museum, 6760 National Park Drive in Twentynine Palms on Saturday, November 3, from noon to 4 p.m., and Sunday, November 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The show is free, but donations are encouraged.
