A 75-year-old man was killed Wednesday morning after he was struck by a car in Desert Hot Springs. Police say the man, who has not yet been identified, was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Palm Drive and Ironwood Drive about 6 a.m. Witnesses said the man was not in the crosswalk when he was hit. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. The driver was not injured and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
