72-YEAR-OLD LANDERS MAN ACCUSED OF PUNCHING HIS WIFE

A 72-year-old Landers man was arrested Sunday morning, accused of punching his wife. According to a Sheriff’s report, James Robinson began arguing with his wife about 8 a.m. at a gas station after she asked him for gas money to go stay with family in the Los Angeles area. The report states after his wife slapped Robinson in the face while he was driving, Robinson punched her numerous times, causing a cut to her hand and pain in her arm. James Robinson was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
