$7,000 IN CIGARETTES, MERCHANDISE STOLEN FROM MORONGO VALLEY CONVENIENCE STORE

Thieves stole more than $7,000 in cigarettes and other merchandise from a convenience store in Morongo Valley Tuesday night. According to a Sheriff’s report, an employee of the All-American Gas Station in the 49500 block of 29 Palms Highway came in to work about 5 a.m. Wednesday and discovered that the burglar had forced open the rear door and stole cigarettes and other items. The Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
