Six people have been arrested since Friday in the Morongo Basin, accused of crimes ranging from felony spousal abuse, identity theft, and one accused of child endangerment.
On Friday, about 11:45 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at Highway 62 and Warren Vista in Yucca Valley. After an investigation, Luis Macias, 28, was arrested for investigation of felony child endangerment and making criminal threats. Luis Macias was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $200,000.
On Sunday, deputies went to the 6500 block of Mariposa Avenue in Twentynine Palms about noon where they arrested Alexandro Romo, 26, for investigation of felony spouse abuse.
On Tuesday, deputies were called to the 1100 block of Sturgis Road in Yucca Valley, where after an investigation, they arrested Kegan Ovnicek, 24, about 11 a.m. on suspicion of felony spouse abuse.
Also Tuesday, deputies were called to the 7400 block of Apache Trail in Yucca Valley where Priscilla Gomez, 33, was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse.
Alexandro Romo, Kegan Ovnicek, and Priscilla Gomez were all booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with their bail set at $50,000 each.
Two people were arrested Saturday, accused of conspiracy and identity theft. We have limited information about the arrests, but Sheriff’s deputies went to the 61600 block of Granada Drive in Joshua Tree about 9:30 a.m. where they found Ryan Moore, 30, and Linda Roberts, 35. After an investigation, Ryan Moore and Linda Roberts were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and identity theft, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with their bail set at $50,000 each. Linda Roberts’ booking record says “detention only.”
