5th Annual Morongo Valley Halloween Extravaganza and Music Festival goes all weekend

The 5th annual Morongo Valley Halloween Extravaganza will be taking place this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (10/2-10/4) in Covington Park, featuring a haunted house and Trunk or Treat alongside the Morongo Valley Music Festival and Pet Mayor Election. Reporter Gabriel Hart gives us the schedule and everything else you need to know to make your Halloween spooktacular.

The festivities begin Friday at 5:00 p.m. with the Morongo Valley Music Festival featuring Bombshelter Alley, Daytime Moon, Waxy, Spankshaft, and more.

Saturday goes from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. with food, vendors, and other family fun including the election results to the Morongo Valley Pet Mayor Election at 3:00 p.m. and what they anticipate being the largest Trunk or Treat to date, where participants can start lining up their cars at 3:00 p.m. with the candy sharing to commence at dusk.

The Haunted House will be open at $3 per entry for kids aged five and up, ages four or under are free. The Zombie Gel Blaster Shootout offers kids a chance to shoot small and safe “gellets” (made of 90% water) at zombies trying to invade Covington Park, $5 entry per play or $45 wristbands guarantee unlimited play for all three days.

The music festival also continues Saturday starting at noon and ending at 10:00 p.m. featuring Black Sugar, Zero Chadwick, Karma Dealers, Los Poncho Tones, The Hitchcock Brunettes, the Jimmy Dale Surf Trio, and more.

Sunday begins at 10:00 a.m. and goes to 10:00 p.m. with the music festival lineup of Kaz Murphy, The Nuns of Brixton, Robert Garson and Bobby Furgo, and more, alongside more Halloween fun.

Entry to the event is free but donations are accepted to benefit the Morongo Valley Youth Softball League.
