5 ARRESTED IN JOSHUA TREE AFTER SEARCH WARRANT FOUND FENTANYL

Five Joshua Tree residents were arrested last Wednesday (February 23) after a search warrant revealed narcotics. According to a Sheriff’s Department Press Release, The Multiple Enforcement Team (M.E.T.) assigned to the Town of Yucca Valley, conducted an investigation into the distribution of the highly dangerous narcotic, Fentanyl, in the Town of Yucca Valley. During the investigation, M.E.T. conducted a search warrant at a property located in the 61900 block of Oleander Drive in Joshua Tree. During the search warrant, deputies reportedly seized a large amount of suspected Fentanyl pills and suspected methamphetamine. Deputies also reported recovering a loaded 9mm handgun, along with handgun magazines and ammunition at the property.

During the investigation, Kaenen Kessler, 19, Nena-merai Bustillos, 21, and Noni Ramirez, 44, were arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for investigation of possession of controlled substance while armed and possession of narcotics for sales. Ashley Lindsay, 28, and Michael Salter, 31, were arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for suspicion of operating or maintaining a drug house.
