There are 48 people vying for the 3rd District supervisorial seat, which is vacant following James Ramos’ election as assemblyman in the 40th District. Some familiar names on the list are Jim Bagley from Twentynine Palms and Dawn Rowe of Yucca Valley. Two former supervisors, Dennis Hansberger and Neil Derry, and Ramos’s former Chief of Staff, Chris Carrillo are also on the list. To narrow the field, the county’s four current supervisors will review the applications and questionnaires submitted by the applicants before picking their top 10s. Applicants who are on at least two supervisors’ lists will be publicly interviewed starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 11 at the county government center, at 385 N. Arrowhead Avenue, in San Bernardino.
