42ND ASSEMBLY DISTRICT DEBATE SET FOR Z107.7’S “UP CLOSE” SHOW

With both 42nd California Assembly District candidates being from the Morongo Basin, it is only fitting that the only live appearance (that we are aware of) with both of them together would be on their local radio station. Chad Mayes, Republican, of Yucca Valley, and Karalee Hargrove, Democrat, of Twentynine Palms, will face each other on the Z107.7 “Up Close” show at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, October 10. The format will be very simple, Most of the questions will come from the listeners calling in to the show, but in order to cover more subjects, host Gary Daigneault will interject queries about water, education, high speed rail, and other statewide issues. The ground rules are, after two-minute opening and closing statements, Mayes and Hargrove will take live questions from the public and the moderator; all questions posed must be those which can be answered by both candidates. Each candidate will answer in alternating order. There will be a two-minute limit to answer the questions. There will be two-minute closing statements. The 42nd California State Assembly District straddles the gateway between the Inland Empire and the California desert. Much of the district’s population is concentrated on the Interstate 10 corridor between Yucaipa on the west and the Coachella Valley on the east. The 42nd Assembly candidates’ forum will be broadcast live on Z107.7, streamed live at www.z1077fm.com and be available as a podcast at iTunes.
