Sheriff’s deputies are trying to locate whoever decided to do donuts on the grass at Knott’s Sky Park Friday night in Twentynine Palms. About 6:30 a.m. Saturday, city employees discovered that sometime Friday night, someone drove a vehicle onto the grass at the park in the 59400 block of El Sol Avenue. The driver did donuts and damaged the grass on the softball and soccer fields, as well as the playground areas. The city estimates the damage at about $4,000.
