4.5 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE HITS BIG BEAR

A 4.5 magnitude earthquake hit at 9:10 this morning about 8 miles south of Big Bear Lake. The shallow earthquake was centered near Horse Meadow, just south of Barton Flats, where the Lake fire burned in June. Residents felt it as far away as La Quinta and Beaumont, and said it was very short and sharp. No reports of injuries or damage have been received.BIG BEAR EQ
