At its meeting on Thursday, December 4, the San Bernardino County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on a proposed solar project in Landers. The 3-megawatt field is planned for 35 acres south of Herdsman Road, between Sunny Vista and Summers Roads, a few blocks south of Reche Road. The applicant for a Conditional Use Permit for the project is Sustainable Power Group LLC. Planning Commission meetings, unlike Board of Supervisor meetings, are not teleconferenced, so individuals who want to participate in the public hearing will need to travel to the County Government Center, 385 N. Arrowhead Avenue in San Bernardino. The meeting will be held in the Covington Chambers on the first floor, and starts at 9 a.m.
