33 people were arrested and 24 illegal marijuana grow operations countywide, including six in Wonder Valley, were shut down during the fourth week of illegal marijuana grow raids. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies and investigators from the San Bernardino County Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) served 24 search warrants at properties in Lucerne Valley, Wonder Valley, Apple Valley, Pinon Hills, Phelan, and Newberry Springs from September 20-24 as part of Operation Hammer Strike, week four. During this time, investigators arrested 33 suspects and eradicated 101 greenhouses. Deputies seized 16,180 marijuana plants, 5,905 pounds of processed marijuana, seven guns, and $41,000 in cash.
The raids came as a result of numerous complaints received regarding large outdoor marijuana cultivations in the areas. The suspects were cited or booked on charges of illegal cultivation of cannabis and possession of marijuana for sales. A complete list of suspects and raided properties is available below.
