Three people were arrested Wednesday (March 2) thanks to quick thinking by a homeowner. According to Sheriff’s logs, deputies were called to the 56500 block of Sunset Avenue in Yucca Valley around 2:30 p.m. on March 2 when a homeowner came home while three people were breaking into their property. The homeowner allegedly pretended to be a worker just stopping by and talking to the suspects. During the encounter, the homeowner was able to obtain good suspect and vehicle descriptions to give to law enforcement. The three suspects left the property and were reportedly stopped of a deputy where the homeowner was able to positively identify Matthew Franklin, 19 of Twentynine Palms, Nicholas Rossman, 29 of Landers, and Brandon Doering, 31 of Yucca Valley, as the men who burglarized the property during an infield lineup. Matthew Franklin, Nicholas Rossman, and Brandon Doering were all arrested for investigation of burglary and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with their bail set at $75,000 each.
