Three people were arrested Friday (November 5), following a traffic stop. While on patrol, Sheriff deputies conducted a traffic stop on a U-Haul moving truck on Highway 62 near Kerns Road, driven by Yulin Lin, Caiyue Weng, and Gao Ai. During the stop, deputies located approximately 105 marijuana plants inside the U-Haul. The plants were approximately 3-5 feet tall and had an estimated street value of $10,000. During the investigation, all three suspects were arrested for conspiracy and sales of marijuana. Yulin Lin, Caiyue Weng, and Gao Ai were booked at the Morongo Basin Jail and are being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
