Three women were injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle crash in Twentynine Palms Sunday night. According to the Sheriff’s Department, a black Ford Focus was traveling eastbound on Hatch Road just after 7 p.m. As Taylor Tuivaiti, 20, approached Alpine Avenue in her Focus, a silver Mitsubishi Galant, with Regina Diggs, 30, and Dtrawnjail Lockhart, 21, inside, attempted to cross Hatch Road and the two vehicles collided in the eastbound lane of Hatch. Tuivaiti was taken by Morongo Basin Ambulance to Hi-Desert Medical Center, where she was flown to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs. Lockhart and Diggs were also taken by MBA to Hi-Desert Medical Center. The Sheriff’s Department said it does not appear that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
