3 ARRESTS FOR THREATENING VIOLENCE IN 3 INCIDENTS

A Yucca Valley man was arrested late Friday night after a woman said he threatened to kill her if she took their children away from his house. Deputies were called to the 3700 block of Surrey Avenue in Yucca Valley about 10:45 p.m. Michael Perez, 37, also threatened to shoot anyone who came on his property. He was holding a pellet gun at the time he made the statements. The woman was afraid for her life as well as for the lives of her children. Deputies found a pellet hole in the garage door, along with the pellet and the rifle. Michael Perez was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.

A Morongo Valley man was arrested Saturday night after he threatened to shoot his neighbor. James Hackman, 63, had been arguing with his neighbor in the 9500 block of Rose Eden Drive in Morongo Valley over outdoor lights and a fence. About 11 p.m., the neighbor confronted Hackman, who pointed a flashlight in the neighbor’s face and said he was going to go back to his house to get his guns and shoot him, at which time the victim called deputies for help. James Hackman was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.

Yucca Valley woman was arrested Sunday, accused of threatening her grandmother. Deputies were called to the 55100 block of Airlane Drive in Yucca Valley about 5:30 a.m. for an argument. The grandmother said she and Kathryn Pacheco, 20, had been arguing over the younger woman’s dog. The victim told deputies that Pacheco had hit her in the face the night before. After an investigation, Kathryn Pacheco was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with her bail set at $50,000.
