3 ARRESTED AFTER A HIGH-SPEED PURSUIT IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

Three people were arrested after a pursuit in Twentynine Palms Friday. According to the Sheriff’s Department, deputies attempted to stop a Ford Expedition on Twentynine Palms Highway, near the intersection of Tamarisk Avenue shortly after 11 a.m. The driver, Brandon Hibler, 33, failed to yield speeding through residential areas, running stop signs, and driving on the wrong side of the road. Deputies located the Ford in the 73400 block of Sunnyvale Drive and Hibler had fled. Passengers of the Ford, Krystle Edwards and Andrea Mayfield, were found to be accessories after the fact and were arrested and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with bail set at $100,000 bail. Brandon Hibler is still outstanding, and the Sheriff’s Department is asking public’s assistance with any information regarding his whereabouts.
