Personal health and fitness are the theme of the Town of Yucca Valley’s 29th annual Healthy Hearts 5K Run and 2K Family Health Walk. Due to COVID-19 regulations, both events are virtual this year. Reporter Joshua King has more details…
A virtual race can be run or walked at any location you choose. You can run, jog or walk either distance on a road, trail, track, your home treadmill, or follow the measured routes provided upon registration. Victory medals will be mailed to all who register and submit their times for the 5K Run or 2K Health Walk by February 20. In addition, each registered participant will receive a souvenir t-shirt and automatic entry into the mega prize drawing at the ParkTalk after-party celebration on Saturday, February 20 at 10 a.m. via Zoom. Participants and the public are invited to this action-packed online party for prize drawings, games and sharing of park ideas through fun and interactive click-voting.
