A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested Saturday (February 26) following a short vehicle pursuit. On February 26, just before 3 a.m., a Sheriff’s deputy was traveling northbound near Datura Avenue and Granite Avenue in Twentynine Palms when they attempted to pull over a vehicle for expired registration. According to Sheriff’s logs, the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Ashlee Thomas, 25, failed to yield to the deputy and led the deputy on a pursuit just over 1.5 miles. The deputy stated that Thomas ran stop signs, failed to signal turns, and drove on the wrong side of the road during the vehicle pursuit. Thomas then allegedly yielded her vehicle in the middle of the road and bailed on foot. Deputies were able to arrest Thomas, who appeared to have two active warrants for robbery and a probation violation. Ashlee Thomas was arrested for her two active warrants and for investigation of felony failure to yield and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with her bail set at $100,000.
