A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested Tuesday (March 1) after allegedly breaking into a trailer to even out an unsettled debt. According to Sheriff’s logs, deputies responded to the 74500 block of Sunset Drive in Twentynine Palms shortly after 6 a.m. on March 1 for a report of a burglary. According to the victim, a woman identified as Danielle Pope, 28, had made entry into the trailer through a window and stole various tools, an iPad, and other items valuing about $2,000 because the victim reportedly owed Pope $80. Responding deputies say they located Pope near Tortoise Rock Casino where she had the iPad on her person and took the deputy to the other items she reportedly stole and hid in a bush. Danielle Pope was subsequently arrested without incident for investigation of burglary and other misdemeanor warrants and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with her bail set at $225,000.
