29 PALMS VISITOR’S CENTER ART GALLERY PUTS OUT A CALL FOR ART

Desert artists are invited to submit artwork for the next Art in Public Places exhibition in Twentynine Palms. Here’s reporter Tanisha Cureton to fill in the details…
“The Bloomin’ Desert: Kaleidoscope of Color” is the theme for the next Art in Public Places exhibition on display at the Twentynine Palms Visitor Center Art Gallery from April 6 through June 29. Intake for art is Friday, March 30 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Painting, photography, ceramics, other three-dimensional work and a variety of other media are welcome. Artists are requested to bring in a short statement and bio for a notebook that will accompany the show. An opening reception is set for Friday, April 6, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. For more information, call 760-367-7562.
