Described as a “study session,” the Twentynine Palms Planning Commission will host an active discussion today, March 1, on the city’s upcoming Vacation Home Rental ordinance. A local ad hoc committee has provided insight, feedback, and changes to the document which has not been finalized.
Issues covered in the ordinance include permitting, application fees, operating standards, non-compliance, and violations. There are approximately 200 permitted short-term rentals now operating in the city.
The public meeting begins at 5:00 p.m. at Patriotic Hall, 5885 Luckie Avenue, in Twentynine Palms. The proceedings can also be viewed via livestream or on-demand through the city’s website, 29palms.org.
