29 Palms man sentenced to 10 years for DUI that killed Yucca Valley woman

A Twentynine Palms man has been sentenced to ten years in prison for a DUI that left a Yucca Valley Woman dead.

After a collision on June 25, 2020, Michael Wright, 35, was treated for injuries and arrested for driving while intoxicated on cannabis. Wright was involved in a collision with another car on Twentynine Palms Highway near Airway Ave in Yucca Valley, and the passenger of the other car, Rosemary Reynolds, a 68 year-old resident of Yucca Valley, succumbed to injuries related to the collision.

On March 16, Michael Wright was convicted of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and was sentenced to a 10 year sentence in state prison.
