Joseph Sharon, the Twentynine Palms man arrested for investigation into aggravated sexual assault against a minor, pled “not guilty” to a number of felony charges.
At a video arraignment held Thursday (June 22) in Rancho Cucamonga, Sharon, a 31 year-old resident of Twentynine Palms, pled “not guilty” to several felony charges including Aggravated Sexual Assault: Minor: Sodomy and Lewd or Lascivious Acts With Child Under 14 Yrs With Force, Etc. Sharon is facing enhanced charges due his previous convictions for violent felonies.
The mother of the victim told Z107.7 that the alleged assault occurred on the morning of June 3, while Sharon was visiting her home. The mother said she filed a report with Deputies at the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station on June 4.
Sharon was arrested on June 17 at Tortoise Rock Casino in Twentynine Palms. He is expected to appear in Joshua Tree court today (June 27) and on Thursday (June 29) for preliminary hearings.
