Twentynine Palms man on probation arrested again on suspicion of domestic assault

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested again for investigation into domestic battery last week, and charges have been enhanced because he is alleged to have caused great bodily injury to the victim.

On November 7 at around 9 p.m., County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the 73500 block of Twentynine Palms Highway, Twentynine Palms, for a domestic disturbance.

Deputies report that Michael Carreon, 31, body slammed an unidentified victim to the ground and she lost consciousness. A witness called 911 after observing the altercation. Deputies conducted an area check and located Carreon near the intersection of Twentynine Palms Highway and Adobe Road, where they detained and subsequently arrested him.

Michael Carreon was arrested on suspicion inflicting corporal injury to a spouse or date and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail on $150,000 bail.

Carreon is currently on probation, stemming from an intoxicated driving incident in 2022. Yesterday (November 13), he entered a plea of “not guilty” to the charges and enhancements related to the November 7 assault.

Carreon was arrested in 2012 for investigation into domestic battery, when Deputies say he tackled a woman trying to a leave a home in Twentynine Palms. He has since been arrested for investigation into burglary and drug possession.
