A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Tuesday (March 16), accused of driving while high on drugs. About 11:45, Twentynine Palms Sheriff’s Deputy Jeffrey Sumpter was on routine patrol when he stopped a 2000 Mercury near Adobe Road and Playa Vista Drive because it had no license plates. The driver, Troy Foster, 49, was determined to be driving while under the influence of drugs. A search of the vehicle found suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Troy Foster was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, driving while addicted to drugs, driving with a suspended driver’s license, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia. Foster was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held on $25,000 bail.
