The Twentynine Palms City Council has approved a balanced two year budget for fiscal years 2023-2024 and 2024-2025, which projects and accounts for a decline in the transient occupancy tax, associated with short-term vacation rentals in the area.
The towns’ balanced budget suggest that property, sales, a vehicle licensing taxes are up citywide, but that transient occupancy tax revenues are projected to decline by $100,000 over the next two years due to what the city describes as “economic conditions.”
