Tonight, the Twentynine Palms City Council will meet to tackle a full agenda. The council will consider adopting a resolution that addresses racism as a public health crisis. San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors and the City of Redlands have issued similar resolutions.
The council will consider resuming the emergency ordinance to place a moratorium on new Vacation Home Rental (VHR) permits for three months to revised enhanced code enforcements.
Next, the council will review funding from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA); the anticipated grant revenue for this year and next is approximately $6.2 million. Finally, City Manager Frank Luckino will present the proposed Two-Year General Fund Budget.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 6136 Adobe Road, and is available for livestreaming and on-demand at the city’s website, 29palms.org.
