29 PALMS CANDIDATES FORUM THIS FRIDAY, NON-PARTISAN POP-UP SATURDAY

Two opportunities to hear from local candidates this weekend. Friday night, October 7, a Z107.7 News Twentynine Palms City Council election candidates’ forum will be held at the Community Services Building at Luckie Park in Twentynine Palms from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. as a public service. Each candidate will have an opening statement of two minutes. They will then be asked to respond to questions both submitted in advance and by attendees at the forum. The questions will be those which can be answered by all of the candidates. The forum will end with a one-minute closing statement. Z107.7 News Director Gary Daigneault will moderate the program. Suzi and C.J. Horn will act as timers and judges. Twentynine Palms residents wishing to pose a question prior to the event may submit them to the Z107.7 News Department at [email protected]. Please put “Forum Question” in the subject line. For more information, call Daigneault at 760-366-8471.

Then on Saturday, October 8, Z107.7 Radio and the Sportsman’s Club are sponsoring a non-partisan office political pop-up event from 9 to 11 a.m. The free event is designed to give residents a chance to talk one on one with candidates prior to the November 8th general election. The Pop-up will be hosted by Z107.7 Reporter Mike Lipsitz. All non-partisan candidates are welcome to bring campaign materials and meet and greet with Morongo Basin voters at the Joshua Tree Sportsman Club on Sunburst. There is no charge for candidates or attendees. Any candidates who wish to confirm can e-mail Z1077 News at [email protected]. Please put “pop-up” in the subject line.
