29 PALMS ART GALLERY TAKING ENTRIES FOR STUDENT ART SHOW

The 29 Palms Artist Guild invites all Morongo School district junior high and high school students to enter up to three works of art in the annual Student Show, which will be held at the 29 Palms Art Gallery. Home-schooled and private school students are also eligible to enter. Works will be accepted Saturday and Sunday, the 28th and 29th, and on Monday, the 30th, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. All works must be original, framed, and wired to hang. The opening reception will be held Sunday, February 5, and awards will be given out at 12:30. Awards include ribbons and cash awards, which includes the $500 Ada Bigler award to a graduating senior. Awards will be given to first, second, and third places in painting, drawing, and mixed media. The exhibition starts February 1 and runs through the 26th.
