The 29 Palms Art Gallery will hold an opening reception Saturday, May 5, for its newest exhibition featuring the artwork of its volunteers. Artists
included in the show include photographers John King, Heather Sprague, and John Van Vliet; painters Daniel Grindle and Mark Spangenberg; potters Ed Keesling and Darci Phillips; and mixed media artist Elisabeth Pollnow. Also showing in the gallery is multimedia artist Alex Ertaud whose show includes photos, videos, and stories chronicling his 49-day bicycle trip through the desert. The opening reception is set for 5 to 7 p.m. and includes live music and refreshments. The reception will be held during the Art Cruise 29!, the monthly art crawl of art galleries in Twentynine Palms on the first Saturday of each month. The 29 Palms Art Gallery, located on the corner of Cottonwood Drive and National Park Drive, is open to the public Thursdays through Sundays from 11 to 3.
