In San Bernardino County, 2,888 residents have recovered from the coronavirus. According to new data released Wednesday (June 3), 5,650 people have tested positive for COVID-19. The county reported one new death Wednesday, bringing the total to 209. Here in the Morongo Basin we have had 50 confirmed cases: Yucca Valley, 17; Joshua Tree, 15; Twentynine Palms, 11; and Morongo Valley, seven.
The county added other new information to its online dashboard, including a graph comparing the number of new daily cases with the average number of cases and a seven-day moving average number of cases. The dashboard now also includes a graph showing the continued growth in doubling time, which was 16.1 days as of Wednesday. In March, the doubling time was about five days.
In the county of 2.1 million residents, 65,857 have been tested, of which 8.6 percent were positive. Testing was up 1.9 percent from the day before.
