23RD ANNUAL ORCHID FESTIVAL RAISES $28,000.00

This year’s Morongo Basin Orchid Festival at Gubler Orchids set record attendance and netted over $28,000 for local non-profit organizations.

According to Yucca Valley Sunset Rotary Club President Tami Montgomery, the numbers are up 22 percent over last year’s festival. Chris Gubler, owner of Gubler Orchids, announce that the festival raised over $3,800 for the Boys and Girls club, over $3,300 for the Armed Services YMCA, and $1,800 for Landers Elementary School. Funds were also raised for the Yucca Valley Sunset Rotary Club, Joshua Tree Tortoise Rescue, Unity Home, and the Morongo Basin Humane Society.
