23 people were arrested, and 32 illegal marijuana grow operations countywide, including six in Landers, were shut down during the ninth week of illegal marijuana grow raids. According to Sheriff’s reports, deputies and investigators from the San Bernardino County Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) served 32 search warrants at properties in Lucerne Valley, Landers, Adelanto, Hesperia, Helendale, Newberry Springs, Pinon Hills, Phelan, and the city of San Gabriel from October 25 through October 30 as part of Operation Hammer Strike, week nine. During this time, investigators arrested 23 suspects and eradicated 104 greenhouses, including four indoor locations. Deputies seized 18,573 marijuana plants, 3,556 pounds of processed marijuana, 13 guns, and over $114,000 in illegal narcotics proceeds. Investigators also mitigated one electrical bypass and two THC extraction labs.
The raids came as a result of numerous complaints received regarding large outdoor marijuana cultivations in the areas. The suspects were cited or booked on charges of illegal cultivation of cannabis and possession of marijuana for sales. A complete list of suspects and raided properties is available below.
