The results will be used in a variety of ways, including to help determine where county funds and other resources will be allocated. Locally, the count is conducted by volunteers in every community in Morongo Basin. Working in pairs or small groups, volunteers will visit locations where homeless people live and spend time in order to count individuals, conduct brief surveys and distribute convenience items and other essentials. For more information or to volunteer to help organize the count in your community call 909-386-8231 or go to sbcounty.gov/sbchp.
