A Yucca Valley man was arrested early Saturday morning, accused of fleeing from deputies in his pick-up truck. A deputy attempted to stop a Dodge truck near Onaga Trail and Alaba Avenue in Yucca Valley about 3:30 a.m. The driver, later identified as David Lish, 27, fled at a high rate of speed. The deputy was able to apprehend Lish near Sage Avenue and Mountain View Trail in Yucca Valley. David Lish was arrested on suspicion of felony failure to yield, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $100,000.
A Yucca Valley man was arrested early Friday morning, following a pursuit in Landers. About 1 a.m., a deputy tried to stop a blue Nissan Maxima for a traffic violation near Lilac Avenue and Acoma Trail. The driver, later identified as Michael Jenkins, 43, failed to yield and led deputies on a 2-mile pursuit. Deputies said Jenkins committed multiple traffic violations with willful disregard for public safety. When deputies were finally able to stop Jenkins’ vehicle, they found a firearm and drugs inside the vehicle and in his possession. Michael Jenkins was arrested on suspicion of felony failure to yield, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $100,000.
