When the November 3 general election rolls around, voters in Landers and Flamingo Heights will decide who will fill the two seats up for election on the five-member Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency Board of Directors. Reporter Mike Lipsitz is here with the particulars…
The two seats up for election are currently held by Mike McBride and Larry Coulombe. McBride has indicated his intention to run for re-election, while Coulombe, who has served on the board since 2009, stated earlier this month that he will not run again. Directors serve four-year terms and receive a $140 per meeting stipend. Qualified candidates must be registered to vote and reside anywhere within the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency’s service area.
