2 PEOPLE ARRESTED FOR CHILD ENDANGERMENT IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

A Twentynine Palms man and a Winchester woman were arrested Tuesday (June 22) both accused of child endangerment. According to Sheriff’s reports, deputies were called around midnight to the 75500 block of Valley Vista Avenue in Twentynine Palms for a report of someone trespassing on the property. Deputies responded and contacted Teresa Spangler, 34 of Winchester and Stephan Ontek, 51 of Twentynine Palms at the residence. During their investigation, deputies located a child on the property and suspected methamphetamine for sale. Stephan Ontek was arrested for investigation of child endangerment and possession of methamphetamine for sale and Teresa Spangler was also arrested for investigation of child endangerment. They were booked into the West Valley Detention Center with their bails set at $100,000 each. The child was taken by Child Protective Services.
