Two men were arrested after one of them fired a gun at a park in Yucca Valley. Deputies were called to Paradise Park, at Barron Drive and Indio Avenue about 8 p.m. Saturday for a report of shots fired. Witnesses said that Baylee Carter, 22, and Kejuan Wyatt, 21, of Desert Hot Springs, were arguing with an unidentified person in the park, when Carter pulled out a handgun and fired it in the air. Deputies said that there were other people nearby at the time playing basketball. Wyatt then allegedly tried to conceal or destroy evidence of the shooting. Deputies found a loaded 9 mm handgun inside a vehicle at the park. No one was injured from the shooting. Baylee Carter was arrested for investigation of unlawful discharge of a firearm, booked at the West Valley Detention Center, and is being held on $50,000 bail. Kejuan Wyatt was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory to an unlawful discharge of a firearm, booked at the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $25,000.
