Two Twentynine Palms residents were arrested last week following an incident of road rage. About 11:30 Friday night, deputies were called by a woman who said she was being pursued in her vehicle through the city by suspects in two SUVs. The pursuit started near Gorgonio Drive and Adobe Road in Twentynine Palms, and a second vehicle had joined the pursuit as she drove through the city. She said the suspects were throwing rocks at her car and her vehicle had been rammed several times, causing major damage. The victim drove to the Twentynine Palms Stater Brothers parking lot where she asked an employee for help. Deputies arrived at the location and detained two suspects: Saunoa Asuega, 38, and Fiasili Lemaota, 41. After an investigation, Saunoa Asuega and Fiasili Lemaota were arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with bail set at $50,000. The victim was not injured during the incident.
