It turns out Isaac David McKeown wasn’t the first baby born in the Morongo Basin after all. Isaac, born to Casey and Gunnery Sergeant Todd McKeown at 12:14 a.m. January 1 at the Naval Hospital, was about 14 minutes too late to claim the title of First Baby of 2014. Easton Harvey, daughter of Sharlah and Brian Harvey of YuccaValley, was born at Hi-Desert Medical Center a few seconds after midnight on January 1. Easton weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces, and is 19 inches long. Congratulations to the parents of both babies.
