Mark your calendars for December 12 at 5:30 p.m. The Yucca Valley Rotary Club announces the 18th annual light parade, “Light Up the World.” The parade will travel down Santa Fe Trail, just south of the highway. It starts at Bannock Trail and ends at Inca Trail at the Hi-Desert Water District parking lot. There the entries will be on display. There will be puppet shows, refreshments and the kids can get a present from Santa himself. Groups, families and organizations are being encouraged to enter lit-up floats, vehicles or walkers. The application fee is just $25 per entry regardless of the number of vehicles in an entry, so groups can afford to join in on the fun. Apply now on line at yvrotary.org, in person at the Yucca Valley Chamber office, or by calling 760-365-1988.
