A local Yucca Valley cross-fit athlete, Sequoia Barrera, 16, has qualified to compete at the 2016 Kill Cliff Granite Games in St. Cloud, Minnesota, this weekend. She is the daughter of local business owners of CrossFit Yucca Valley, Richard and Gina Barrera. Sequoia placed 13th out of 300 females from around the world to earn the opportunity to compete. Yucca Valley residents, family, and friends raised over $2,500 in under 48 hours to help her get to this competition and wish her the best of luck.
