15-YEAR-OLD YUCCA VALLEY BOY ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY

A 15-year-old Yucca Valley boy was arrested Wednesday evening, accused of burglarizing a neighbor’s home. According to the Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to a home in the 56100 block of Breezy Lane concerning a burglary. Deputies discovered the front door had been forced open and multiple items inside, including a Playstation and video games, samurai sword, watch, and cellphone charger, had been stolen. Evidence at the scene led deputies to a home in the 2800 block of Keeler Avenue where they found a 15-year-old boy and the stolen property. Additional investigation led deputies to a home in 5100 block of Old Woman Springs Road, where they located two 14-year-olds and a 17-year-old. Additional evidence was discovered, but no more stolen property. The 15-year-old boy was arrested for burglary, cited, and released to his mother, pending a review by the District Attorney’s office.
