15 people were arrested, and 23 illegal marijuana grow operations countywide, including five in Landers and one in Yucca Valley, were shut down during the seventh week of illegal marijuana grow raids. According to Sheriff’s reports, deputies and investigators from the San Bernardino County Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) served 23 search warrants at properties in Lucerne Valley, Landers, Apple Valley, Victorville, Adelanto, Pinon Hills, Yucca Valley, Fontana, and Hinkley from October 11 through October 17 as part of Operation Hammer Strike, week seven. During this time, investigators arrested 15 suspects and eradicated 159 greenhouses. Deputies seized 20,031 marijuana plants, 3,596 pounds of processed marijuana, three guns, eight grams of concentrated marijuana, and 8.9 grams of methamphetamine. Investigators also mitigated one THC extraction lab and three electrical bypasses.
The raids came as a result of numerous complaints received regarding large outdoor marijuana cultivations in the areas. The suspects were cited or booked on charges of illegal cultivation of cannabis and possession of marijuana for sales. A complete list of suspects and raided properties is available below.
