13-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED AFTER BEATING HIS MOTHER

A Yucca Valley boy who didn’t want to go to school Monday was arrested and sent to juvenile hall after he beat up his mother. According to a Sheriff’s report, the mother called law enforcement about 7 a.m. for help in getting her 13-year-old son to go to school. The report states the mother and son argued, and then the argument turned physical, with the boy shoving her, holding her down on the ground, and wrestling away the phone when she tried to call 911. The report states the son also intentionally broke her iPad and broke down a door in the home in the 7400 block of Borrego Trail. After an investigation, the boy was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence and felony vandalism. He was booked at juvenile hall.
