A 12-year-old Twentynine Palms boy was injured in an off-road vehicle mishap Tuesday evening. According to the Sheriff’s Department, the boy was riding an all-terrain vehicle in a vacant lot on Larrea Avenue, near Highway 62 about 5:20 p.m. The boy hit a berm and the vehicle overturned and landed on his ankle. The boy’s parents arrived and took him to Hi-Desert Medical Center for treatment.
